Supported radios
RemoteMyShack works with radios whose audio reaches the computer over the same connection that controls them: Icom radios with Ethernet or WiFi, or with a USB port that carries both CI-V control and a built-in sound card; FlexRadio FLEX-6000 and FLEX-8000 radios over the network; Kenwood, Yaesu and Elecraft radios with a USB port that carries control and audio (or network control on the TS-890S, TS-990S and K4); and the Hermes Lite 2 SDR. Each radio also has its own page with how to set it up.
✓ supported — not available on this radio · Tested: we've operated it ourselves; the others use the same commands as their tested siblings and are expected to work. Beta: support is built from the maker's documentation, but we haven't run it against that make of radio yet. Using one we haven't tested? Tell us how it goes.

What every supported radio can do
- Tune, change band, mode, filter and DATA mode, and read the S-meter from your phone or laptop.
- Hear the radio, with two-way audio on transceivers: hold to talk, with automatic unkey if your connection drops.
- Adjust RF gain, preamp, attenuator, AGC, noise blanker and noise reduction where the radio has them; the radio's own speaker is turned down while the agent is connected. On a FlexRadio the RF gain slider sets SmartSDR's AGC threshold; on a Hermes Lite 2 it sets the receive gain (LNA).
- Send CW from the console with the radio's keyer (the agent keys a Hermes Lite 2 itself), and RTTY as audio.
- Every transmission is recorded in your transmit log.
Remote power-on
Radios marked for remote power-on stay reachable on your network while switched off, so you can turn them on from anywhere. The others, including every radio connected by USB, have to be switched on at the shack; you can still turn them off remotely (Yaesu's radios are the exception: their USB port stays awake, so they can be turned on over it). FlexRadio radios and the Hermes Lite 2 can't be switched on or off over the network at all. See Turning the radio on and off.
