DXCC and Worked All States
The DXCC & WAS tab of your logbook tracks your progress toward two of the ARRL's best-known awards.
- DXCC counts the DXCC entities (countries) you've worked, out of the current list.
- Worked All States counts the 50 US states.
Each shows how many you've worked and how many are confirmed. Tap either card to see its details.
What counts as confirmed
A contact is confirmed when your log records a LoTW confirmation or a paper QSL card received. These come in with your ADIF import (the LOTW_QSL_RCVD and QSL_RCVD fields), by themselves when you connect LoTW, or you can tick LoTW confirmed or QSL received when you edit a contact. eQSL confirmations don't count, matching the ARRL's rules.
RemoteMyShack shows your progress; it doesn't submit award applications. Apply through LoTW as usual.
By band and mode
Under the cards, each band and mode group (Phone, CW, Digital) shows worked / confirmed counts. The table below has a row per entity or state and a column per band: a green dot is confirmed on that band, an amber dot is worked but not confirmed. Needs confirming shows only the ones you've worked but not yet confirmed.
US contacts without a state
WAS needs the state of each US contact, which isn't part of a callsign. Logging programs usually fill it in from a callbook, and it comes in with your ADIF import. If the tab says some US contacts have no state, they can't count until you add it: re-export from your logging program with the state field, or edit the contacts here. Contacts in Alaska and Hawaii are counted automatically.
