Your public station page

Your station address, https://<yourcall>.remotemyshack.com, is also your station's public page. Anyone who visits it and can't operate your station, including you when you're signed out, sees this page instead of the console. Only what you choose is shown.

What it can show

  • Your callsign, always.
  • About you and your station: a few paragraphs you write, up to 2,000 characters.
  • State, County and Grid square, each only if you tick Show next to it.
  • On the air: each radio's name, what it's tuned to, and when it's transmitting. Shown only if you turn on Show what my radios are doing. Choose Exact frequency and mode (14.225 USB) or Band only (20m) if you'd rather not say exactly where you are; with band only, the frequency never leaves the service. It updates every 15 seconds and only includes radios your plan covers.
  • Up to two pictures, each with an optional caption.
  • Request a contact, a button visitors use to ask you for a contact on the air, if you turn it on. See Contact requests.
  • Listen Live, a button by the radios you choose that lets visitors hear them, on the Shack and Super Station plans. See Listen Live.

If you haven't added anything, visitors see a short note that you haven't written anything yet.

Editing your page

  1. Sign in at remotemyshack.com and open your Account page.
  2. Open the Public page tab.
  3. Write in About you and your station. Fill in State, County and Grid square if you like, and tick Show for each one you want visitors to see.
  4. Tick Show what my radios are doing (then choose exact frequency or band only, and which radios visitors may listen to) and Let visitors request a contact if you want them.
  5. Click Save.

Grid squares can be four or six characters, with an optional extended pair, for example FN31 or FN31pr.

Pictures

Click Add a picture and choose a photo, such as your shack or antennas. You can show up to two. Pictures are scaled down before they're uploaded, and location data in them is removed. Type a caption under a picture to add one; it's saved when you leave the box. Click Remove to take a picture down.

Pictures are saved straight away; you don't need to click Save for them.

Seeing what visitors see

  • On the Public page tab of your Account page, click View your page ↗.
  • On your station address while signed in, click Public page at the top. Click Console to go back.

When you look at your own page, a line at the bottom says This is what visitors see, with links to edit the page or open the console.

Signing in from your page

Visitors who aren't signed in see your referral: your referral code (your callsign) and sign-up link, with buttons to copy them, and Sign up with this code, which counts them as your referral. You see it too when you preview your page. There's also a Sign in link at the bottom of the page. That's how you get to your console from your station address on a new device: sign in with your passkey and the console opens.
