Several radios at one station

One agent can run several radios at once, for example an HF rig on Ethernet and a VHF/UHF rig on USB. Each radio has its own console, and you can have more than one open at the same time in different browser tabs.

Adding more radios

From anywhere, open the Station tab of your Account page and click Manage radios (your station has to be online). Or, on the shack computer, use the agent's setup page. Either way, click + Add another radio and set it up over the network or by USB; the form, including the scan for radios on your network, is the same in both places. One agent runs up to 8 radios.

Manage radios also lets you edit and remove radios. Linking the station and Tailscale can only be changed on the shack computer.

Give each radio a Name, such as IC-7610 or Mobile. The name appears in the radio picker, the browser tab, the public page and the transmit log.

The radio picker

With more than one radio, your station address opens on Choose a radio. Each radio shows its name, model and what it's doing: its frequency and mode, Off, Connecting…, Not responding or Not connected, with TX while it's transmitting. Tap a radio to open its console.

Inside a console, the radio's name appears at the top with a ▾. Tap it to go back to the picker.

Each radio has a fixed ID that doesn't change when you add or remove others. Its console is at #/r/<id> after your station address, for example https://<yourcall>.remotemyshack.com/#/r/2. Bookmark it or add it to your home screen to go straight to that radio.

On the shack computer, Open console next to each connected radio on the setup page opens the same kind of link.

Disabling transmit on a radio

With several radios in one shack, keying the wrong one can put its power into another radio's receiver. To make a radio receive only, click Disable TX beside it on the setup page. It takes effect at once: anything it's sending stops, and Hold to talk, CW, RTTY, FT8 and TUNE are all refused until you click Enable TX. The radio list marks it TX disabled, and its console says so where Hold to talk would be. The setting stays when the agent or the radio restarts.

Plan limits

How many radios you can operate remotely depends on your plan:

Plan Radios you can operate
Rig 1
Shack 1
Super Station all of them
Free trial all of them (the trial is a trial of Super Station)

The limit counts radios in the order you added them at the station: the oldest are covered first. Radios past the limit show Not on your plan in the picker and can't be opened. They also don't appear on your public page.

To operate a radio past the limit, upgrade to Super Station, or remove a radio you don't need (Manage radios on the Station tab of your Account page) so the next one moves up.
